Writing a Story
There are many different aspects that go into writing a story. There is a plot that must be determined. A plot is what is going to happen in the story. Once the plot has been found, you must then figure out what your characters are going to be. A story cannot happen if there are no characters. There is also the setting which must be determined. The setting is where the story will be taking place. Within the setting you must determine where the story will take place and when the story will take place. Conflict is the next thing that needs to be determined. The conflict is what the problem is going to be. The final element of writing a story is the theme. What is the main idea of the story going to be?
The plot has five different elements within it that are going to shape your story. There is the introduction where you introduce your characters and what is happening in your story. The introduction is followed by the rising action, this is when the conflict begins within the story. This is followed by the climax which is the part highest part of the story which should leave the reader wondering what is going to happen next. Then there is the falling action, this is when the complications and conflicts begin to be resolved. Finally there is the resolution or the conclusion. This section will allow your readers to find out what has happened and the outcome to the situation is.
